BTB 2013 Dirty Ride Report

Here is a clip of what can be considered the most difficult section of the Dirty Ride,"level III Hero Section," with a section of Little Pond Rd. that we rode Saturday late afternoon.

I'll post some more video sections and modified .GPX file of the ride when I can.

All in all, it was an AMAZING ride with little to no traffic, only one closed bridge, and two detours. One was for a section of road after the "hero Section" that went through private land. Or at least there was a gate across what look to be an old road. And the detour around the closed bridge. The majority of the dirt was fast paced, well maintained and very well connected. I clocked a top dirt speed of around 60MPH.

I could be tempted to go run it again, well actually, I'm begging you to hit me up so I can do it again.
My only comment would be to reduce some of the early roads, except the hero section, and get about a 1/3 of the way through the loop faster as that is where it really got good. And add more to the end, with some optional hero sections thrown in for good measure.

Thanks to the Rockers, needles to say, YOU ROCK!! :snork:
Had a great first time Bash and look forward to many more.

excellent! I was talking with you guys before you left. Good thing I didn't go, I would have held you up with the medivac getting me to the hospital! I need more practice on the XC. It looks like a really fun road and I am looking forward to using the bike's capabilities. I need to experiment with tire pressures/tires and realize I am going to dump it at some point. Great job!

Here is the video that better represents the ride. As noted in the description, it really is pretty easy if the hero section is skipped, even Seth could do it.. :lmao:

The potential for more hero sections and difficult woods roads is definitely there, especially up around Stratton and the north section. We weren't able to explore more as we were almost on empty when we were in that area.
