Also.. a big thank you to:
Paradise Inn for being so accommodating (again)! They have consistently been very pro-BTB over the years. They seem to enjoy having us back and they've always been clean, comfortable and welcoming. http://www.vermontparadiseinn.com/
Brown Cow Cafe (next door to Paradise Inn) for awesome breakfast, lunch, coffee and desert. All served with a friendly smile and conversation. They were unfortunately closed on Saturdays but the owner is willing to open next year just for us! What a great place! http://thebrowncowcafe.com/
Rattlesnake Cafe for being... wow! These guys were simply great! The owner and staff are what make this place special. The food is delicious and a good variety drinks. This place really appreciated our business and is looking forward to being a mainstay of our BTB crowd! http://rattlesnakecafe.com/
Bennington Station for handling our large event in stride! We had over 100 people at our banquet dinner and these guys have it down pretty good. This runs well now thanks in large part to the pre-planning done by Mark and the advance registration via Paypal. A few minor things left to iron out such as more staffing (and beer choices) at the bar and how to handle the additional unregistered walk-ins. Otherwise, the food was very good and the banquet staff and cooks were working hard to help make this dinner a success. http://www.benningtonstation.com/new-site/
Top of the Hill Grill for doing another great job! I'm amazed by how they are able to accommodate our large group for such a small place. The outdoor eating atmosphere has always been terrific and the food is very good. Another nice event pulled off by the staff at TOTH Grill and by Alan's advanced planning with Paypal option. http://www.topofthehillgrill.com/
Hemmings for allowing us to stage our Saturday rides and for opening the museum early for us. Once again, a local business that supports our event and welcomes us to the community each year. http://www.hemmings.com/
With two of the three original founders of BTB having moved away from Bennington, the question as to "why Bennington?" does come up. Simply put...the local businesses and people that run them are what make this event special. In our sixth year, we've had six opportunities to see what works and what doesn't. We've had six opportunities to make our presence known in Bennington and to (hopefully) leave a good impression. I know at least with the above mentioned establishments, they'll be glad to have us for many more years to come.
Thanks again to everyone! See you next year!
