:wtf: So the bike is running perfect, don't need to have any service work done, just over 3 weeks to the bash and ..the f'in ignition key breaks off in the seat latch (NO, I DON'T HAVE A SPARE)!!

Guess I call my dealer tomorrow and see if they can get me a new key or recommend a locksmith.

I can pop the seat off by reaching up under the tail and pulling on the cable. did manage to get the broken piece out of latch.

***k,

Gerry

That sucks, some thing tells me that will not be a cheap fix.
You better get moving we are getting very close.
I hope the dealer don't hurt you to bad.

F.Y.I. for all BTB'ers

I contacted my dealer (Libby's in New Haven, CT) this am. Key from triumph based on your vin = $25.00 and 2 wk delivery.

They refered me to a local Locksmith ( a real one not the ' we can make a key for you at the local hardware store' kind) and he said if I had both pieces he could most likely make a dup for me. I went there during lunch and got a spare made for $8.00. He asked me to make sure it worked properly before getting a second one made off of the new key.

While I was there I had him make me a couple of spares for the side and top cases.
