14th Annual MEME Meet - July 26-28, 2013

The title says it all, we’ve set the date, have been working with potential sponsors, vendors, and entertainment already, and also trying to travel to more motorcycle shows and events to promote. Hopefully with this year long effort we will see another huge growth in attendance.

Over the past two years, with about 25-30 people coming to the 12th annual, and almost 90 at the 13th annual, we have seen some great things come back to the MEME meet. We do plan to continue our growth and excitement has also built amongst the staff at Sunday River who were great in facilitating our requests and accommodating our needs as a group. Wouldn’t it be great to fill a whole wing of the hotel ourselves?! Or more?!

Please help us spread the word about this great event and keep it alive and well. It has been said over and over that it’s the people who make MEME and the annual meet what they are. It doesn’t matter if you are a guest, sponsor, vendor, entertainer, or whoever; it’s YOU as a whole who make it great.

Hello Jeff,
I look forward to the 14th MEME event! I had planned to attend the 13th but had to settle for a great ride with a BMW group! We left Irving in Bethel and rode up through Rangely to Errol to the Canadian border. Lunch at Kingfield with a chance to say hello to Hank and the Ducati riders. My Son and I split from there and rode to our camp on Clearwater Lake in Industry.
As a newbe to MEME, it's clear that your good efforts on its behalf are helpful and necessary. Looking at its strong history and waning recent years, all positive efforts will help. Clearly, Mike is a great founder of MEME and has put in countless time and money to make it successful! Again, thanks for all that you do.

I wanted to get you more information so if you're interested you can get a room booked. I would do this ASAP, as the New England Forest Rally is the same weekend and we are sharing the hotel with some of their guests.

Is there a recommended campground for people who don't want to pay for the hotel?

Great question - though we really try to push for people to stay with us in the hotel since it is the central location for all activities and it helps the group to have more rooms booked, there is a campground 5.8 miles from the hotel. It is Bethel Outdoor Adventure & Campground at 121 Mayville Road in Bethel.

I just called them for you and here is the info:
-$22/night is for a tenting site with "water nearby"
-$35/night is for an RV site with water and electric - this is probably your best bet
-There is a bath house on site with free hot showers and restrooms.
-It's also right up the road from an amazing BBQ spot on Route 2, Smokin' Good BBQ.

It would be great to have people at the meet no matter where you stay, and please remember to email me at memerally@gmail.com so I can reserve dinner tickets for you to purchase at the door (very important!); we need to give the hotel a headcount by July 20.

Mark - one question I have for you is regarding the liability waivers you use for Bennington; can you steer me in the right direction as to how to get those created or would you be willing to let us leverage them, tailored for MEME? Any help is appreciated.
