Ride Itineraries?

I am wondering if any - or how many - go on the shorter scenic rides, such as the Putney or Southwestern runs. I have not joined in on a ride yet, but I am sure the fast-paced 200 plus miles runs would not be for me, especially after riding up from central New Jersey.
Do these alternate rides sort of form up at the garage parking lot?

Both!
Robin AKA Bonniegirl lead a pretty cool ride last year, mellower ride. I am sure you will find something!

Heck you can team up with a small group or larger one or come up with any ride you want...A pal of mine and I were just meandering North last year on Saturday and happened on the Nickwackett garage...what a lucky duck find for us...We had a great time just bombing around during Friday and Saturday with no organized riding just exploring...it's all good

I think I'll let Jeff have me along on Friday's ride. I know he misses me something terrible!

Lots of folks do the shorter loops, or you can make up your own. It seems to be pretty hard to go wrong down here. Meet some new friends on Friday and do your own thing on Saturday. Perfect.
Kevin and I did the Mohawk Trail ride last year, and I liked the route so much I may do it again, hell, backwards even. But why do the same thing twice?
The Adirondacks ride is a long day but well worth it.
Did the ice cream ride involve sampling ice cream in every town? In that case IN

Yes that goes without saying Matt...my Tiger is a lot slower than yours though...you will have to give me quite a head start...
Hey Rob...I think we passed you standing outside an ice cream place last year when we were headed back and you guys were chowing right down...sure making us Triumph riders proud...Heck even a Goldwinger never passes a DQ without stopping...are you thinking of a Wing next? yuk...yuk...yuk....

Tito's ride is spirited and just the right length and well worth it if you have a "sport" bike

no wing although Dick Griffith tried to sell me his...its up for sale if you know anyone interested, $17k. We didn't stop in every town for ice cream but we did alternate with chocalate milk now and then. The Adirondack Ride sounds great..its so much fun to just play it by ear and GO!!!!!

What's Dick G. up to now? I know he has a loaded white wing...$17k would be a good price..that is what I paid for mine last summer and it had 3k in mileage with some nice accessories already added with me in mind...Perfect bike for the long haul when Mrs. Lucky wants to ride along...much better platform than the Rocket for that purpose...

I am looking forward to the Mt Equinox ride, which seems shorter and more mild than wild. I have fitted out the Flip HD3 (2 hr HD capacity) and the Film Tools Cardellini Mini Clamp kit I saw on ADV Rider
http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=469738I will be filming 2 hr of each ride and making a little video montage of the weekend.

Mt Equinox is owned by monks. There is a charge to go up. The views are cool.

I have a unique itinerary for this year's ride!
Thanks to weather, my son's baseball season has been shortened to four games only, with the last one on Saturday. I'll be leaving the Hemmings lot on Saturday to go up to Fair Haven (by the least-direct route possible) to see the game by 11AM. After the game, and some kind of lunch, I'm heading back to Bennington by a different indirect route to get there in time for the dinner. I hope to get in a couple of hundred miles, but don't know where yet. I'm going to miss going on the Adirondacks ride, and T*^$y Road, but I'm not missing this game. Of course, if it rains all bets are off. You can ride in the rain, but can't play baseball - go figure.
Stopping often for ice cream will depend on whether the weather is frost and wind, or sun and sweat.
Looking forward to the weekend! Hope nobody dies at Carmody's tonight, and everyone gets to Bennington in good shape.
