So I'm watching TV one night, and this concert comes on the screen - the first time I had heard Derek Trucks. (I don't get out much :naughty: )

What a great old song

Another from that show. I've probably posted both before. Can't remember.

This was the first time I had seen footage of Beck's playing. A pleasant surprise to learn
his extensive array of audio lightning is primarily from his hands, and not from signal process.

Hey Bucky!
The grandbabies look so adorable; i'm sure they're keeping you and St. Carla crazy busy.

Lately I've been grooving on Adele:

Well well well motorcycle tramps of all sorts and sizes, looks like we're down to counting the days again. (Can I get a "PRAISE THE LORD! & HALELUJAH!)

I say we set this good old thread up on TDC, pour in a little fuel, and kick her down.

Now if you told me Johnny Winter & Janis Joplin mighta had a little baby girl, then they would have had to name her....

I just learned that Earl Scruggs passed away yesterday. Without a doubt, Scruggs was one of the most influential musicians in American music history.

Like so many others, I first heard him playing The Beverly Hillbillies theme 49 years ago in 1962.
(By the way - Miss Ellie Mae Clampett rode a Triumph in one episode)
After hearing that magic of syncopation Scruggs was laying down,
I would want to believe a few hundred thousand of us wished we could play a banjo like that.
