Have questions about the event or the area? Want to plan a ride in with others who are coming? Here's the place for it.

The weather has not dampened my riding yet. I have had to let my stuff dry for several days but atleast I got to ride. The sad part is that the rain has blown out all of my favorite flyfishing rivers. Only one of my sons baseball games was called due to rain though. I'm glad only one game was lost to rain, but I still hate baseball. Yes he knows I don't like baseball so it means even more to him when I'm there. I only missed one due to work. Have a good ride this weekend for me. I'll be down at the ocean chasing stripers. The wife will be there so no strippers.

I am still thinking of going but, I really don’t know what the fuck is going on.
The few guys that were going to make the ride with me have baled out.
John has to work, Marty does not want to chance the rain and Paula is sick.
No body has heard from Bruce, so for all we know there may not even be a cookout.
I will be watching this thread,
I sure would like to see every one again and maybe meet some new.

I just talked with UncleCharlie and he is definitely out. He is taking his mom up to their summer beach cottage and getting her settled in for the summer. I can totally understand this, she;s old and she is lucky to have a good son like Charlie to help her out.

I am having breakfast with Mrs. Hedge's sisters tomorrow at 8:30am ish. I will check weather report from sisters place and then decide. Just for your information, it was suppose to rain like hell here today but it never rained a drop even thought there were 2 rain delays at Shea Stadium, about 45 miles south. I even got to take the bike out for 2 hours today.

Seth - I'll call you on your cell if I go for distance!

Yeah it was the same thing here, not a drop of rain.
Hell just about every day this summer and probably every day in the summer they say
there is a chance of rain.
What the hell is that suppose to mean? It means there is a chance it will not rain.
I still take my bike every day to work as long as it is not raining in the morning
and I take the chance it will not rain. So far I have only got caught in the rain once.
It was the same thing last year, every day they would say there is a chance of rain.
I work with a few guys that ride and they never take there bikes when they say there is a chance of rain.
Which means they only take there bike in maybe once or twice all summer.
Still nothing from Bruce? that's fucked up. I hope he is OK.
We will hook up some time this season my man.

So I ask her, where does this weatherman work out of? She says he moves around a bit and usually works out of hotels in different parts of the USA and other areas of the world. So me thinks to myself . . . .hummmmm!
I thought about this and finally said to my wife that this guy is a Sham! She says What? I said he is a full of shit Sham! She goes why? I said I could do that fucking job! She said what would qualify you? I said easy, get a hotel room anywhere in the world, turn on the AC, order some fucking room service and watch the weather channel for an hour or so everyday and report back to the Central office! She looked at me and didn't say anything for about 5 seconds and then said, No he knows a lot of shit about weather! I said, whatever!
Hedge : LMNAMAO. Exactly. Fuck, I need to get that job !
BonnevilleBilly : Paula's Sick ? Wish her well from all of us.

For some reason this site stopped sending me e-mails notifying me of responses to this thread so I'm a little late in responding. We are on for today and don't really need anything. Call me at 860-465-9293 if you need directions or anything. If we get rain we have space for an indoor party. No worries, we're good to go. Hope to see you all here.

Bruce - thx for checking in. AS Bill already said, we were worried something might of happened to you. Glad your still with us. Unfortunately, because of the current weather prediction, 200 mile R/T, UncleCharlie bailing on me, MattRat agreeing it is to far with imminent weather coming and above all my wife opening her yap to full Auto instead of SIngle round burst or 3 tap burst . . . I'm gonna pass as well but thx for the invite.

Seth - I'm gonna hang local this time but we will ride very soon, I promise!

Oh Great !!!!!! who else is baling out just because there maybe a chance of showers.
It is the same forecast we get every day in the summer.
They are saying there is more of a CHANCE of showers late tonight.
I still want to go ,who is still going and not afraid of a little shower.
I have about 75 miles to get there.
But I don't want to be the only one there.
