Thursday dinner meetup, for whoever's in town

please don't make me go to any Mexican places

I was one who for 20 years wouldn't go to a Mexican restaurant. I had tried a couple and just couldn't seem to latch onto that cuisine.

At the urging of some of my riding friends I gave it a go again at a particularly good place, and whaddaya know....I actually like the stuff a lot now.

You just have to find the right things on the menu to get you started, and then it really opens up. I never for a minute thought I'd ever like some of this the way I do now, and that place in Bennington isn't half bad.

So is anyone who's going to be in town now going to be at MBC or the Mexican restaurant? Are we going to have a general consensus or every man for himself?

My opinion is MBC might work best for Thursday night hanging out; we can always relocate once everyone arrives. If I remember correctly, we hit up the Mexican place Friday night for dinner then also went back Saturday and closed it down.

We will probably hit up madisons for a beer, then to the rattlesnake for food & more beer. THe owner of the rattlesnake has excellent taste in beer.

the owner is the cook/chef who loves micro brews & puts his own twist on mexican dishes. everything is made in house from local produce, etc. Gotta try his peach habanero salsa!

Really cool place. He has a dart board. No juke box but he does have a collection of vinyl that he will play on his record player behind the bar.

My college room mate from North Brookfield, Mass. Used to speak of eating grindas....hadn't heard the term used before that....just subs for us WNY guys....Sounds like a solid plan Matt... I can only bring so much Pepto Bismol...better we eat before getting to Rattlesnake Gulch....outdoor seating is very conducive to eating cookies and smokin' gars... That will be welcome

OK....Rattlesnake at 630ish is the deal. Is this the place that we closed down last year after the Saturday dinner? I think I know where it is....although it is kind of foggy.
