Thanks Jim for noticing, they are indeed rescued retired racers. Now they only race to the fridge. Maine Greyhound Placement Service. They have been saving Greys since 1993. I love dogs and have(as most of us should) much respect for all breeds. I really am in awe of service dogs (All services, blind, companion, pet therapy, military, police, search and rescue etc, etc) and their handlers. The hours of training and practice are pretty intense.

Funny how most of us in here are really taken in by our love for our pets. I hate to say this but I get more shaken up by one of my hounds passing then I do for people.
Well done is always better than well said.

I don't think they're the same. I could be wrong
Tibetan Mastiffs take up to 5 years to mature, and end up at around 150 lbs or more.

We tried to adopt this handsome boy

out of a shelter in AL, but the shelter lady thought he would not make a good
candidate for a long distance adoption.
It's all good, and apparently just wasn't meant to be.
We'll keep looking closer to home.
