Ok guys check this out.....I emailed my local rep the link provided by bucky,Thanks bucky, We talked for about 10minutes about a standard db measurement to which he finally ask, well how much are the meters and who is going to pay for them. I was pissed by the questions thinking he was blowing me off, without a kiss even. He then continued to say that Maine has current laws which are not being inforced on the books that pertain to un-muffled or un-baffled mufflers aka straight pipes or hollow mufflers on the books. He is pushing that with those on the comitte with him. So no matter how you feel about loud or quiet mufflers, please call your reps and let them know we are watching them, they can't push this bullshit down our throats!!

Sad part is, that there are already laws in place that we can not change as they are already laws, we can have them removed i would think, I friend is a Virginia State Trooper, and he states that if there is any tampering of the vehicles exhaust from the stock configuration, they CAN ticket you, Again MOST cops wont mess with you if your being respectful, but if your an idiot, like me, watch out, i will stay with stock because i cant pay attention to the Law, outlaw the law.
This is a great representation of how laws are created without the consent of it constituents!
but you have a bunch of mercedes driving soccer moms, with kids in town ion the backseat sleeping and some Jackass on a gixxer 1000 rolls by with wide open throttle with a D&D exhaust wakes the entire vehicle from a nap, shatters the rear window of the van, causing the woman to lose control of her vehicle, bouncing off the Jersey wall, causing a chain of events not to be forgotten anytime soon, and suddenly a law has to be made to qiet the loud bikes.
Now to a point i am happy about this, i dont like loud bikes, but that does not give me the right to decide for you if you enjoy loud bikes, more and more we are losing touch with our democratic state!
3 cheers for socialism!!!

Okay all you fuckers move here Delaware as of July 2010 dropped all noise measurment for inspection . If your bike can pass inspection it can be driven on Delaware roadways. As for the speeding ticket not gonna help with that they also added speed to agressive driving. I have D&Ds with no packing and I can drowned out a harley once i hit 6000rpms no matter how fuckin hard he or she is turning their lawnmower engine.
Didn't your mother warn you that there are people like me!
