I just thought of something. On your particular machine , your greatest ally is deception. I believe your going to trip some peoples shit out ! In doing so you're just gonna love it ! Speed. By the way excellent photos , wires, vacuum lines ,cables, etc. all look uniform and to their prospective function, Bill I wouldn't swear to it but it almost looks like perfectionists work. Don't ask me why. Clean. Like the cam covers.

Hey Bill you going to Dyno that critter? I would be interested with the numbers. The mechanic at the local Triumph shop is building a 1147 stroker on a 270 degree platform out of a scrambler and he thinks it should put like 115hp to the rear wheel on methanol . I was telling him about your work and he asked what the numbers are and I told him I would ask. He is a bracket racer running a 74 Honda CB 750 at this time but is putting the Bville together for this year.

Hey Jimmy
I may get her dynoed this summer if I can find the right one.
I want A/F ratio , H.P and torque measured by RPM .
According to the gear heads over on the Delphiforum
high performance Bonneville forum site I should be getting
80 to 85 rear wheel HP. With all the performance up grades I did.
That’s not too bad considering the stock Bonnie is around 54 HP.

Yes I had her out a couple of nights ago and she is running very strong.
I think I've got the carb's pretty good now, she was running a bit too lean.
I was fucking around a little bit and dumped the clutch out at about 4/4500 rpm
and she lifted the front wheel way the fuck up, a whole lot more then I expected her to.
OH.. Yeah.. this thing is one mean ass machine now I have a big shit eating grin on my
face right now just thinking about it.

The Barnett clutch kit grabs like a sonObitch but, it is a real pain in the ass to get into
neutral from a stop.
She slips right in if I'm slowing to a stop or if I shut the bike down.
I have tried every which way of adjusting it. If I tap it just right some times it will go in.
I'm guessing it is because there is a slight drag in the plates especially when she is cold
when she is warm it is not noticeable but, still a pain to get it in neutral.
It is the first time I'm using the Mobil 1 W20/50 oil, it is some really thick shit
I have heard of others having the same problem with the Barnett kit.
I am hoping that when they start to ware in a little and the oil breaks down a bit it will get better.
For now I will just have to get used to putting her in neutral as I come to a stop.
Other then that she is running very good, there is a whole lot more power there then what she had before.
I so can't wait for the good weather to get here I am going to have a lot of fun with this thing it's like having a brand new bike.

I want to do the 1147 stroker kit when my warranty expires I almost had a secound engine but got out bid. My mechanic friend has his back and what a beast it doesn't even sound like a triumph poping and cracking at a idle but maybe the price will come down by then cause you can buy another fuckin bike for what the stroker kit cost and sending you engine out to Socal. So maybe I will keep my eye on your 904 to see how you make out.

Jimmy
For the amount of down time, money and all the extra machine work and
more money. Buying the billet cylinders even more money.
Pulling the engine out of the bike and splitting the crank case and pulling the
crank shaft sending it out to be machined and balanced more money.
Buying the Carmella connecting rods more money.

There is a lot of work , lot of time , and lots more money for not a hell of a lot more
power then what the 904 kit will give you.
For around 2 grand you can do the 904 with the Mikuni’s and have 85 rwhp.
with the 1100 and the 1200 strokers you don’t get much more then 95 rwhp
and it will run you near 6000 grand before you are done.
My bike has more power then I can use most of the time now BUT, it sure
feels good knowing it is there when you want it .
