I left the Paradise @ 6:05, rolled in at home at 8:10. I'm just 100 miles away, only 10 of them on I-91.

I donned an old reliable Dry Rider 2-pc suit over my leather Triumph H2 pants and ventilated jacket. That worked fine, it's only my newer Dainese "Long Range" boots that gave in. I should have upped the game to their GoreTex offerings. The new-to-me Michelin Pilot Road 4 Trail set was incredible. Total confidence at speed on 9.

Great weekend overall and the Sunday ride home didn't phase me one bit. My British bike was "in its element" so to speak, and Sunday was merely a "light mist day" in the UK.

My dad and I left around 10am on some wet roads, hit a shower for about 20 minutes, then more wet roads that turned drier as I got closer to home. Made it safe in one shot, no stops and was home by 2pm.

Thanks again to everyone for a great event!

 Brian and I left the Paradise Sunday at 5:42am into a steady rain heading west..A bash wouldn't be a bash without rain on the way home..I personally stayed till Sunday morning so I could ride in the rain as it's the tradition that has meaning...Riding a Triumph means you're going to ride in the rain..quite a bit in fact as I've found over the past 10 years... My 2 piece Klim gear is severely armored and waterproof so I don't mind it a bit..
Great time as always catching up with guys I only see once a year...my year wouldn't be complete with the BTB...
Our collective best goes out to Paul and especially Robin....

My wife Deb and I looked on the hourly forcast before going to bed Saturday, and it predicted a break in the rain for Bennington about noon. It was supposed to be raining steadily at home all day. So we figured we would leave about noon. When I woke up, they had adjusted the break in the weather for Bennington to occur around 9, and it did, so we accelerated the timetable and ended up leaving around 9:30. It was perfect- just road spray and light sprinkles all the way home. There was an unforcast break in the weather here, so we even got to wash the bikes at home to put them away clean. This was all good luck to the point of miracles, considering 5 minutes after we put the bikes away it was raining hard enough to knock out our satellite TV.

We had a great time. This was #2 for me, and #1 for Deb, and I anticipate we will be back next time. Thanks to Rachel, John, and Donnie for terrific conversation at dinner Saturday.

Maybe a few people will know us next year!

Yeah, no kidding! She was throwing that Diavel around like it was a sportbike.

As for me, well, the Tiger is a great-handling bike, and I've ridden Tracy Rd many times. And I just got back from a weeklong trip down to the seriously twisty roads in western Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and eastern Kentucky, so I've had plenty of practice leaning the Tiger.

We are home safe and sound. 1150 miles and 18 hours. Started at 3:00 am Monday morning. Got home at 8:00pm Alabama time.
I know we are in the car but not by choice. Had a wonderful time and enjoyed seeing everyone again. Maybe God willing and the creek don't rise we will be able to ride next year.

Great to hear Paul...thanks for taking the time to come up to Tiger HQ on Saturday afternoon and chat awhile...I was wishing you were with me today while I was digging holes in Buffalo... :plusone:

I was thinking the same thing. I could hold the beer while you dig.
