Sounds like a good plan.

My mom just retired and is also trying to figure out what to do. But she doesn't ride motorcycles.

That was the date I was originally looking at but do to some major changes here at work and the passing of a 2nd biking friend I decided to move the date up a bit.

Playing with motorcycles, eating cookies and digging holes in the dirt. Some people never have to grow up. I am jealous.

to each his own Jeff! I prefer Fall but I am happy for you sled heads to have your season too. I have had enough of it except for the XC skiing and snowshoeing!

GerryP - I did some riding in DelMarVa last summer (and into WV); if you want the roads we rode I can send you a link to the route. It was really nice, though I liked the WV riding the best. Best wishes on your retirement in any case!

LoVel - Are you guys coming up to the bash this summer? If so, I have a question for you about your return trip connected with a possible ride I'd be doing in the Ozarks right after the Bash. Right now, it's in the planning/dream stage.

We are planning on attending and I will be making reservations soon. Not sure if we will ride or drive at this time.

I was informed by Robin last night we would be riding. :)
