I will be there something Thursday afternoon, and had been thinking of going to the Mexican restaurant in town. I'll "google" Carmody's and see what tney've got to offer!

Geez, it looks like we need a new location for our Thursday meet up. What say you?

I'll be across the street at Madison Brewing. Perhaps we can discuss this disaster over a couple of cold ones.

Bummer, MBC is my least favorite place.

Full Bellies gone, now Carmody's. hopefully the fish and chips shoppe is still there.

That really stinks. the Rattlesnake mexican place is open. I emailed the owner to let him know we are coming & he is ready.

Leila from full bellies to me last year to try the italian/pizza joint on the east side of town. I forget the name but she said it was really good & they have lots of great beers.

:mope: Sad to see businesses close...especially favorites of ours...I always think of B'ton as a tourist destination but who knows how many come on a year 'round tally? We always want our places to be there for us...plus the outdoor seating at Carmody's was great for dining....cookies and cigars...a hard combo to improve on.....

Where will the new gathering place be?

I'm definitely IN for the Mexican restaurant. I really enjoyed it last year. The person riding behind me the next day....not so much. :naughty:

:) Found an interesting place in North Bennington .....Kevin's Sports Bar....seems to get good reviews and they've been there awhile....27 Main Street....

:dunno: please don't make me go to any Mexican places :mope:

I would have thought Bennington College could have carried a few town restaurants but then saw it was only 800 students incl grad school. I went to a high school in the deep farm land and we had 1,600 kids. We saw in the last few Bashes the empty storefronts especially that large strip mall on the side street. Looked like a Rite-Aid had packed up. Who would ever lease 35,000 square feet in Bennington these days? Unless you were starting another college...
