Where was Mark in the second half of August?

Have questions about the event or the area? Want to plan a ride in with others who are coming? Here's the place for it.

:) So the dyna beads just whip around inside the tubes and that works fine for balancing...how many ounces do you recommend for each tire? Do you put in new tubes when you put on new tires? Thanks Mark

Come east Jeff and we'll ride the puppy dog route in VT. First weekend in Oct. I'm ready-busted fairing and all!

Here's a picture of the K60 Front and rear. Bought them from Twisted Throttle.

Very nice looking Heidenaus...good choice Matt...That would be a good time for a ride out your way but I'm booked to a ride through W.V. Ohio and PA...then with another group of derelicts...I do have to do some riding down your way for sure

The Dynabead folks suggest 1oz in the front tire and 2oz in the rear.

I don't bother with new tubes each time. I just look over the tube to see if it shows any damage or wear, and if not, it gets reused.

Nice.

As for the D66 dry bag system -- great stuff. I really like it. My tip for using it would be to get a CJ Designs tail rack:
http://www.dualsportwarehouse.com/CJ-DE ... TIG-BK.htm

The D38 bag mounts perfectly to the CJ Designs plate -- you'd almost think that rack had been made specifically for the D38. The D28 can either mount on top of the D38, or across the pillion seat if you prefer to keep your load lower and further forward.

 Thanks Mark...I should have mentioned that when I bought this poor orphan he came with the Triumph top box which I'm hoping to keep as it really holds a lot of stuff....Can I use the D66 system just across the pillion seat? Just picked up a slightly used Arrows pipe which I've always wanted for a couple of days....

I rode the Trans-Mass route last Saturday. It was about 85 miles of mostly dirt roads with a bit of light technical stuff thrown in. Easy stuff for Mark. I lowered the air pressure to 33 rear and 26 front. The bike handled great except for some of the downhill as the ABS wouldn't let me drag the rear tire. Going to order the ABS wiring harness from Eastern Beaver so I can shut it off. Well Jeff, it looks like your ready to hit the dirt. Got that bike all farkled up. Post up a picture so we all can see.

Yeah, that should work fine, though it might crowd you a bit. I don't like having stuff on the pillion seat for that reason, but some people don't mind it. Give it a try and see how it works for you.
