It is absolutely craptastic here now. We had sleet and freezing rain on Saturday and a hard freeze Saturday night, followed by a high in the low 20s yesterday, so the roads are in pretty appalling condition.

Thankfully it's supposed to warm up tomorrow. I'm away next week, but the Honda should be able to come out when I get back.

long winter...cabin fever...scooter frustration...anxst...dog is in danger of being kicked...

take a step back and evaluate

the sugar guys are making syrup...the sun is putting the old man of the north back in his place...the garden guys are starting plants indoors...
it's only a matter of time...the promise is already in the air.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

I hate to see folks out of sync with the natural cycles.

And now with Daylight Savings time there is more daylight to enjoy.
I saw some green crocus shoots poking up from the mulch the other day.
I just may have to wake My Pretty Bonnie up this weekend from her winter's beauty sleep...at least start her up and say a proper hello. :)

Ice

Postby TonUp » Tue Mar 11, 2008 8:51 pm

I got called out on Sunday at 4am did not get home until 7pm that night, lot's of ice damage. I also fell on the ice twice, once while carrying a portable generator. It still hurts.

I was glad to get home, one beer, hot meal, long hot shower and 9 hours of sleep. I am still tired.

Cheer up Speed, I'm going to Florida next week and that always causes a warm-up in these parts.

Brrrrrrr. Cold and VERY windy today....The extra daylight tells me to comehome quick and hop on the bike for a quicl spin, but the temps tell me to throw a log on the fire!

I've had it with this weather. I HATE MARCH!!! Just 1 50 deg day, please! I'l even take 45 deg if it's calm out. The last 2 days it's been 40 deg but 20 mph winds. Come ON already!
