Have questions about the event or the area? Want to plan a ride in with others who are coming? Here's the place for it.

Well you probably know the resources to check on that better than me, but like others have said Orvis is up the road in Manchester (my home town) and the fly fishing museum is next door (and my mom works there...) so let me know if you need help with something. I know a lot of places I see cars stopped, but who knows if it is private, etc. I have canoed the battenkill many times, one time I got kicked off some guy's bank. Aparently it was his backyard :D

I will let you know as the time approaches. I look foward to meeting everybody who has helped me so far. If anyone wants, they are welcome to join for an evening casting a fly, tossing back a cold brews later.

How do you feel about me joining you with an ultra light and a worm gently worked across the current just underneath the hatch?

Are there general laws that allow live bait on the streams? Other than that I don't mind at
all. It will be interesting to see the fishes reaction to a caddis fly vs. a worm.

I don't know about the laws up there but I do know that many rivers have Fly-fishing only areas and catch and release areas. Many of the places that do allow bait fishing require a barbless hook so that the release is injury free. That’s all I know and that's the story I'm sticken to! :-)

I'll do some more research when everything calms down with work and home life. It won't be till after Christmas.

Just went to the Flyfishing show in mass on saturday. Found a new rod that will fit on the side of my bike. Now if I could only find better regs for the battenkill. Not sure if it is Flyfishing only, artifical bait or what. Will keep digging for more info.

To those that might wish to fish on friday. I have got the rest of my stuff I needed to fish Friday. All I need is my license, which I will get when I arrive. I can't wait to fish the Battenkill!

Who has delt with dydimo before? I read that you can freeze your gear for 24 hrs to kill it, bleach with water for the stuff that can not be frozen. What other methods have been proven 100% to kill that rock snot crap?
