If there is that much snow up there yet, I guess it will be a while before I head up that way. I will just continue my daily, boring rides here in Flat Land. I am so looking forward to riding the Daks this summer. I think I want spring as much as those of you that are snow bound.

I will probably hit the Adirondacks before heading to Bennington myself. I may stay in Long lake or up near Ft. Drum.

Still lots of snow on the ground here. Roads are clear but salt-encrusted, and I hear that over in the Adirondacks they're extremely sandy. The sand usually stays on the more minor roads there until deep into spring.

But the good news is, temps are finally supposed to climb into the 40s at the end of the week, and it looks like they're supposed to stay there next week. Fingers crossed.....!

 Spent today sledding from Old Forge to Stillwater...Big Moose and all points...snow up to our ears everywhere....We would be riding down the middle of the logging roads and the snowbanks on the sides of the road were over our heads...It's going to take a bit of thawing and as mentioned I haven't seen a winter as destructive to roads as this one....I would be very vigilant when riding season starts...it will be dangerous in many areas
