well...i haven't been around the bash site much. thanks to all for thoughts, prayers and cards that lovel and i have received. this pesky cancer was certainly not in MY plan for the summer.
i took the time for the bash off anyway, even though we couldn't go this year. my brother rode down on his bike, like usual (we ride back to his house in chazy ny before the bash each year) and lovel and i rode with him last wed to meridian mississippi. it was the longest ride i've taken since diagnosed, but i was feeling pretty good. of course at a gas stop in nowhere alabama my bike decided not to start! apparently a loose positive battery terminal connection and a dry rotted battery strap letting it jiggle around. she started up with a bump start, and we got home without further incident. this years bash trip would have put her well over 50,000 miles, just under 48,000 now.
i'm a little over 1/2 thru the chemo. we'll see what the plan is in aug after the chemo ends.
have lots of fun and have a few beers for me!
love to all

Hi Robin,
I'm glad that you got out for some riding. :)
I'm holding you high, sending Reiki, and trusting that I'll see you and Paul next year.
Peace and healing-
Paula

We'll be thinking about you and Paul, and looking forward to your triumphant (har har) return next year!

Glad you've been getting out to ride a bit. And yeah, I had the loose battery terminal problem once too...

Hi Sweetie! Great to be hearing from you. I'll be keeping up my positive thoughts for you, and hope to see you next Bash.
Tito will be missed because he was the clown prince, but you are the Soul of our "family get together" and its most integral part.
