Ride to Vermont Country Store

Postby GerryP » Tue May 01, 2012 8:36 am

Greetings BTB'ers. 30 day to go!!

As usual I need to make a run up RT 100 to Weston, VT to the Country Store for certain supplies.

I'm looking to go up on Friday after breakfast or maybe Saturday morning if enough people want to make that a ride (weather permitting either day).

Last year I rode up on the Friday with Janet, Bryan, Ric and Patrick . However this year Tito and Janet are in Bosie and Bryan's wife is due and Ric and Patrick won't be up until Friday afternoon.

Any one interested in either day?

I was thinking of running up to Waterbury on Friday. It's been YEARS! Maybe I can join for the ride up, at least.....

Wow, just took a ride there today with the family for a little road trip. The nice thing about this store is that you couldn't afford to buy enough stuff to overload a bike's luggage capacity!
We also ate at one of my all time favorite places, Zoeys Double Hex restaurant, which is on the hill just as you leave Manchester heading east toward Bromley. I have yet to eat anything here that isn't fantastic, and the portions are generous too. Highly recommended if anyone will be passing near here around mealtime.
