Good question. Rockers CT will be camping at the greenwoods campsite on top of route 9 about 10 minutes past town as usual. This place is very nice and cheap. We will have the large field again with room for a few more tents and other spaces are available to rent as well through greenwoods although I believe the small cabin is fully booked.

Good point; this is now the official 2012 camping thread.

As Russ says, the Rockers will get their usual group campsite, and a bunch of us others will get nearby individual sites. It's pretty easygoing up at Greenwood -- unless you want a bed in the lodge, you're fine just stopping in upon arrival to get a campsite.

It looks like I'll be leaving town and heading to the hills this year - while it was Paradise, I think this is the year for camping.

I'm not a great MC camper, so suggestions welcome. The three things I know I'll have are bug juice, warm clothes and rain gear. Anything else to bear in mind? The V-Strom should be able to carry everything I'd need, so long as I'm not too bad of a packrat.

You'll be fine, Jim. The advantage is that you can leave your tent set up for the several days you're there, so no need to cart everything around with you. Just bring the basics -- tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, change(s) of clothes. If you find you need anything else, it's easy enough to pick stuff up in Bennington.

Camping!
Jerry and I are bringing our (new to us) converted cargo trailer/2 bike toyhauler on its maiden voyage to BTB, then on to Americade. 2010 7x16 vnose, wired for ac/dc, side awning, custom made screen/vinyl wall for the cargo door, kitchen cabinetry/sink mounted in the vnose, deep cycle marine battery, diamond plate storage cabinets, fold down beds; his name is Lyle and I love him.

Since we have a campsite with electric service, if folks would like, we'll bring a couple of coffeepots and coffee supplies for early morning coffee for BTB campers if the group would like that? Let me know?

We're arriving Thursday afternoon.

Peace,
Paula
