2001 BONNEVILLE CLUTCH CHATTER

Postby kurt » Mon May 11, 2009 7:47 am

fixed mine finally , i have been living with it for two years when your in traffic it clicks and chatters or what ever sound it is i was going to put a kit in it, my last call was to
al at greatbay triumph he had to look into it and get back to me i wasnt expecting much as some of you might know some triumph dealers just arnt up to par, so he called me back and he said i know what it is i have the part here and ill send it out,
its a replacement for the pushrod that hits the pushrod seat the old one is rounded off at the end the new one looks longer and the end is the same as the seat so if you need to fix yours its the pushrod, clutch cover gasket, oil , oilfilter and crusher washer about 120 bucks , torque on the clutch cover bolts is 9nm, if the dealer dose it they would probably charge an hour but thats my guess , every bodys differnt ,,,,,,,,,,,,sooooo
thanks to al at greatbay, oh yea if you do this put the end of your cable in the linkage
first before you bolt it down, it gets short

Great Bay Motorcycles

Postby TonUp » Mon May 11, 2009 8:12 am

I have purchased 2 Speed Triples from Great Bay and will continue to do so. They are smart, efficient, friendly and really like their Triumphs to perform.

I am glad you got your bike fixed, let's go SPEEDING!!!

Kurt, glad your bike is back in peak working condition. Was wondering how ya might be making out with the fire wood? Got to thinking about it this morning as it was about 35 at my house in SE. CT. Not only that but I got my telescoping hotdog stick ready to go. Just gotta get some a them jalepeno and cheese chicken dogs and some buns with a bit a mustard. Oh fukin yeah!

got a pretty good pile ill get a trailer to put it in i can fill a 6x10 trailer right now
so dont get to close to the fire you'll burn your weaner and i might be wrong
but i think its against the law to cook a chicken dog over a fire, you might want to look in to that , nothing better then a fire hotdog and a cold beer,
